I might have failed to mention one majestic piece of recent news: I packed up my Chicago life and moved to New York in the spring. A lifelong dream of strolling the city sidewalks (or, well, pushing through them), celeb sightings (none as of yet, but I'm optimistic) and enjoying life in The Big Apple has been a truly amazing experience thus far.
As I work to update this blog as much as I think about updating it, I am bringing back the "It List" posts, highlighting random things I am currently obsessing over. Indulge with me.
Lauren Conrad Kills It in Marie Claire
Just as I decide to grow out my bangs (too high-maintenance for this girl), Lauren Conrad starts sporting them. Cue tinge of regret. Anyway, check out LC in her smokin' hot spread for Marie Claire's July issue. I've adored this girl since the Laguna Beach days, but give her even more props for her various business ventures and ability to stay relevant. A true "It" Girl, indeed.
Megan & Liz Hook with "Release You"
Summer anthems are one of my absolute favorite things There is something about a tune reminding you of all the incredible summer experiences that is pretty magical. I recently discovered fraternal twin sisters Megan and Liz Mace after hearing their infectious, Max Martin co-penned single, "Release You." The girls rose to fame from YouTube, but based on this track, I see big things for their future. Listen once and tell me you aren't adding it to your own summer playlist.
Lucy Hale Knows the Key to My Heart: Skulls + Clueless References
My favorite Pretty Little Liar Lucy Hale is also one of my current favorite "It" Girls. While enjoying the Coachella Festival a few weeks ago, she caught my eye with the Ash "Majestic" Sandals.
While I admit the skulls and crosses are a lot for my personal taste, I found a couple pairs inspired by these that I am currently loving.
She also uploaded this recent photo to her Instagram, donning one of my most-wanted pieces: Wildfox Couture's "As If" Lennon Sweater.

Wildfox Couture "As If" Lennon Sweater available here.
Any reference to Clueless is a winner in my book. I also love how Lucy styled the sweater with some cut-off shorts, a big hat and accessories. A perfect summer outfit.
My Very Own "It" Boy Schools Us on Personal Shopping
One of the most wonderful parts of moving to NYC is being by the side of my best friend through the entire adventure. Currently freelancing for men's favorite mag Details, my very own "It" Boy (that's Ralphnerd to you) hoped to shed some light on the realm of personal shopping. While it is catered to men, there is something we can all learn from his sage advice. It is a must-read — and so is the June/July issue of the magazine, featuring the GORGEOUS Henry Cavill on the cover. Like, seriously, how is a man that beautiful? Gratuitous eye candy forthcoming.
