Oscars 2016 Red Carpet Awards

Does it matter who wins the actual awards when there's fashion?

The Oscar Statue Should Actually Be Modeled After:
Margot Robbie in Tom Ford

I love a Tom Ford moment, and Margot pulls it off flawlessly. Bonus points for balancing the sleeves with that deep v-neck.

Best Use of My Least Favorite Color:
Olivia Munn in Stella McCartney

I've never, ever intentionally purchased anything orange. The only exception was when I was forced to buy memorabilia from my high school, which happens to think orange and black is the perfect color combo. Olivia's Stella McCartney number makes me not only tolerate the color, but enjoy it.

Looks Better Than Kendall Jenner in the Same Dress:
Julianne Moore in Chanel

Kendall strutted the Spring 2016 Couture runway in the very same dress. Julianne wins.

Best Use of Sequins:
Saoirse Ronan in Calvin Klein

Several attendees opted for sparkle, but Saoirse did it right. The cut. The color. Oh, and the mis-matched earrings.

 Most Stunning — and Sustainable:
Sophie Turner in Galvan

Sophie is definitely a star on the verge and I can't wait to see her in X-Men: Apocalypse. This dress is simply beautiful and it's also made of socially responsible fabrics. Slay, Sansa.

Most Uncomfortable-Looking Footwear:

Let's take a closer look.

Best Prom Impression:
Brie Larson in Gucci

Look, I know Brie is talented and I know it's the Oscars. The color is beautiful. The ruffles and that belt? PASS.

Most Red-Hot:
Charlize Theron in Dior

It's tricky to wear red on a red carpet. But, as no surprise, Charlize kills it.

Rooney Mara in Givenchy

The mid-section cut-out modernizes this elegant lace gown, and I'm also a fan of the high slit.

Most Want to Wear IRL:

Helen Lasichanh's simple, black dress suits the occasion, but is totally wearable for us common-folk.

Most Effortlessly Beautiful:
Rachel McAdams in August Getty Atelier

Calling emerald as the color of the season. This number, by 22-year-old designer August Getty, made me gasp. Well, Rachel being the one wearing it didn't hurt, either.

Overall Best Dressed:
Jennifer Lawrence in Dior

I'm sorry. I'm sorry if I'm predictable. I'm sorry NOT sorry, I'm a J. Law stan. But seriously. We know Jen will don Dior at every single important appearance, and while always beautiful, it's usually a fairly safe choice. This dress took her style up a notch.
