To-Do: Binge-Watch Girls Season 4 This Week

Tuesday, February 16, 2016
*Disclosure: I received a review copy of Girls: The Complete Fourth Season on DVD. All opinions, thoughts and commentary are my own.

Unless you've been frolicking around New York Fashion Week or chillin' at the Grammys, chances are, you might have a case of FOMO this week. Actually, if you have been doing either of those things, I'm rather jealous and slightly peeved I wasn't your +1. But I digress. As an added bonus for this overwhelming sense of ickiness, if you reside anywhere near New York City, you'll know the weather here has been 10 kinds of bleak. Not helping things.

File this under: Thing to do During this Craptastic Week: Binge-Watch Girls: The Complete Fourth Season. It's now on DVD and Blu-ray! Hooray!

Girls is one of those shows that pops open polarizing opinions. Whether you love it or loathe it, it undoubtedly has made its mark within pop culture. You know what I will argue to the naysayers? Lena Dunham is a woman (yeah, I'm going feminist on you right now) doing big things. Being a producer, writer and actor for the series is dope, especially in an industry overrun by men.

As the seasons have progressed, so have the characters (read: so if you gave up hope during season 2, just try and give season 3 a go). So much went down during season 4...

like this...

and this...

...and with season 5 debuting this Sunday, February 21, it's the perfect time to catch-up. If you're like me, you're also a sucker for the commentaries, deleted scenes and gag reels. Great additions to add a little pep in your chillin'-on-the-couch schlep.

What are you hoping to see in season 5?
